ORANGE CHICKEN
During the period when Eva Zeisel worked with the Orange Chicken Gallery in New York (from 1998-2001) they produced many, many of her designs. Some were new, contemporary designs and others were reissues of earlier works. All of these reissues were made under Eva's supervision, from her prototypes or original molds, and approved by her when finished. We had ordered many of these items before the relationship ended and the remaining stock was moved out of New York and into storage. (Part of the reason for this was that the gallery was displaced by 9/11.) It took over two years before the stock was taken out of storage and again put on sale , this time on the internet (www.evazeiselorangechicken.com). When they again began selling they honored my two-year-old order, selling to me at the original prices. When the order arrived I found that in my typical enthusiasm I had over-ordered, and also that I had already acquired some of the items in the meantime, on ebay or elsewhere. These pieces are my overstock, and I'm happy to pass them along at prices lower than on the Orange Chicken website. They are aware of this, and I have their approval, which makes it your lucky day!
